Spinach Soup

Takes 40 minutes | Serves 4 |

Quick and easy recipe for homemade spinach soup with chicken broth and garlic. Great dinner for the whole family on a cold day!

Ingredients

  • 1 unit onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 30 g butter
  • 200 g spinach
  • 600 ml chicken broth
  • 100 ml cream
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground pepper
  • 1 pinch grated nutmeg

Steps

    Preparation

    • Sauté onion and garlic in butter in a saucepan. Stir in the leaves when the onion has become translucent and soft. Continue sautéing while stirring until the leaves have wilted.
    • Add chicken broth, bring to a boil and cook the soup for 5–10 minutes.
    • Blend the soup smooth with an immersion blender. Add the cream, bring the soup to a new boil, and season with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg.
