Panna Cotta

A traditional Italian dessert from Tuscany, known for its creamy texture and versatility with different toppings.

- 1000 ml
- 200 ml
- 1 pod
- 3 tablespoons
- 5 sheets gelatin sheets
Steps
- Soften the gelatin sheets in cold water.
- In a saucepan, bring the cream to a boil.
- Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the pod and seeds to the cream.
- Once the cream is boiled, remove from heat, stir in the sugar until dissolved.
- Squeeze excess water from the gelatin sheets and add to the hot cream. Stir well until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Add the milk and let the mixture sit in the pan to infuse the vanilla flavor.
- When cooled to room temperature, pour into molds or glasses.
- Refrigerate until set, preferably overnight.
