Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 medium onion
- 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 cans great northern beans
- 1 can chicken broth
- 2 cans chopped green chiles
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon pepper
- 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
Steps
- In a large saucepan, saute the chicken, onion, and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink. Add the beans, broth, chiles, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
