
Coconut Macaroons

Crispy and golden macaroons made with shredded coconut, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 pcs egg whites
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 200 g shredded coconut
Steps
- In a saucepan, whisk the egg whites by hand until they become foamy.
- Gradually mix in the sugar, vanilla sugar, and shredded coconut.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir constantly along the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon.
- Cook until the mixture thickens to the consistency of a thick rice pudding, approximately 10 minutes.
- Using two spoons, shape small mounds of the mixture and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
- Bake the macaroons in the center of the oven for about 10 minutes, or until they turn golden.
- Allow the macaroons to cool on a wire rack before serving.
