Coconut Macaroons

Crispy and golden macaroons made with shredded coconut, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 pcs egg whites
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 200 g shredded coconut

Steps

    Prepare the Mixture

    • In a saucepan, whisk the egg whites by hand until they become foamy.
    • Gradually mix in the sugar, vanilla sugar, and shredded coconut.

    Cook the Mixture

    • Place the saucepan over medium heat.
    • Stir constantly along the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon.
    • Cook until the mixture thickens to the consistency of a thick rice pudding, approximately 10 minutes.

    Form the Macaroons

    • Using two spoons, shape small mounds of the mixture and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

    Bake

    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
    • Bake the macaroons in the center of the oven for about 10 minutes, or until they turn golden.

    Cool and Serve

    • Allow the macaroons to cool on a wire rack before serving.
