Campfire Bread

A simple and delicious bread perfect for campfire cooking, twisted on sticks and baked over embers.
Ingredients
- 200 g wheat flour
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 5 tbsp cooking oil
- 150 ml water
Steps
- Mix all the dry ingredients together.
- Add the oil and water, mixing into a smooth, not too sticky dough.
- For a double portion, use slightly less than double the oil to avoid a sticky dough.
- Coat the dough with a little oil and place it in a bread bag or container.
- Whittle some sticks and twist the dough around the sticks.
- Bake over embers, rotating the sticks often to avoid charring.
